This is an example of a voicelss alveolar affriacate dz in word initial position. It differs from the aspirated version ts in the duration of the release and in its movement directly into the vowels without an aspiration period.


2 Word: denedzé [tɛnetsé] "heart"  -  Speaker: SP5

An example of a anyasprated avleaor affricate dz [ts] in stem initial, intervocalic position.The d, clousre portion of the affricate is voiced in this example. The fricative releases directly into the vowel.
