b  [b]

Dene Sųłiné, Lac Brochet  -  Phoneme: b [b]  -  IPA: Voiced bilabial plosive.

Word: bare [bɑɾɛ] "sleeve"  -  Speaker: SP9

In this token of this word, the b sound is not voiced. This kind of variation in the voicing of these sounds is not uncommon. See the example of the g. However these sounds are often strongly voiced, thus the yare represented in the IPA as voiced stops, to contrast them with the Dene langauges in which the stops are voiceless.
