Center for Jewish Studies

The Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Rochester promotes research, scholarship, and education in Jewish Studies. The center aims to provide enriched learning opportunities for students and to share its resources with the Rochester community.

Frederick Douglass Institute and Department of Black Studies

The Frederick Douglass Institute and Department of Black Studies was established in 1986 to promote the development of Black studies in undergraduate and graduate education and to advance research at Rochester.

Institute for the Performing Arts

The URochester Institute for Popular Music (IPM) is dedicated to promoting the scholarly study of popular music, among both students and professional scholars, and at the University of Rochester and around the world.

Integrated Nanosystems Center

The Integrated Nanosystems Center (URnano), dedicated to researching and fabricating materials on a microscopic level. Research interests include development of biosensors, fuel cells, nanoscale filter membranes, and light emitters.

The W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy is a collaboration between the departments of economics and political science at the University of Rochester, with the goal of promoting research and teaching political economy.
