About Our City

Students in the School of Arts & Sciences study at the 154-acre River Campus, just two miles from downtown Rochester and nestled along the shore of the Genesee River. The city offers an outstanding arts and cultural scene, with vibrant seasonal changes—from snowy winters to colorful autumns—and a strong legacy of social justice shaped by Susan B. Anthony, Frederick Douglass, and others.
