Office of Student Relations

The Department of Biology’s Office of Student Relations was established in 2023, and is specifically tasked with engaging undergraduate students by providing social events, and outreach and mentoring opportunities.

The office works both autonomously and in concert with other departmental committees to develop initiatives and collaborate in providing an outstanding experience for our undergraduate students.

We will work to build relationships with students via existing mechanisms and also by initiating new events, connections, and programs.

We aim to routinely and consistently provide information to students about undergraduate research, acclimating to expectations in curriculum, how to find peers, and other topics particularly relevant to undergraduates.

The faculty director is supported by two PhD students, who each serve as a student relations secretary.
