Patricia DiGiorgio

Graduate Program Coordinator

What is your current role in the Department of Biology?

I work as the Graduate Program Coordinator.

What do you enjoy most about working here at the U of R?

Everyone in the department goes above and beyond! Even if they don’t know the answer, I’ve been amazed how everyone will share what they do know and try their best to help.

What is the most important thing that you’ve learned while working here?

The incredible diversity and kindness of the graduate student cohort are breathtaking. This is a constantly changing role, which demands a lot of prioritization and attention. I am so very grateful for the support and guidance from everyone I’ve reached out to who makes this challenging role fun and always exciting. I’m never at a loss for learning how to do new things.

How do you unwind when you’re not in the office?

I run and bike, I have a huge vegetable garden, and I practice yoga.

What is one thing about yourself that you’d like more people to know?

I’m a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and an RYT-200 in Hatha and Anasura Yoga.  I truly enjoy teaching yoga in the community and trying to find time to enjoy my private practice.
