Rachel Solomon

Rachel Solomon is an educator, director, and performer based in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Theatre from Nazareth University, and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Theatre Education from Emerson College. Rachel has directed, taught, and performed in New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. As a teaching artist, her work includes teaching workshops and semester-long courses at Actors' Shakespeare Project (Boston), Boston Latin School, SUNY Geneseo, Nazareth University, and Blackfriars Theatre.

As a director, Rachel's credits include Describe the NightThe Christians, and Ghost Story (Rochester Fringe Festival), all with Out of Pocket, Inc., where she is also on the board of directors. Other directing credits include John Proctor is the Villain (Nazareth University), Into the Woods and A Grand Night for Singing (SUNY Geneseo), The Light in the Piazza and assistant directing The Mousetrap (Blackfriars Theatre), and The Full Monty (Academy Theatre).
