Kali Quinn

Kāli Quinn (She/They) is originally from Buffalo and a proud alumnus of the University of Rochester International Theater Program (2003). She has performed her other two solo shows Off-Off Broadway and at festivals/medical schools throughout the US; taught at MIT, Brown, Duke; co-founded GUTWorks Theater Co; created/directed original performances at Mississippi University for Women, Bucknell, Trinity Rep; worked with Padua Playwrights, Pearl Theater Company, PushPush, Clowns Without Borders (Guatemala/El Salvador), Grupo Galpão (Brazil), and Accademia dell’Arte (Italy). Kāli has served on the board of the Network of Ensemble Theaters, and is an associate artist with Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble and Ko Festival of Performance. On the national tour of their memoir, I Am Compassionate Creativity, Kāli passed through Bisbee, AZ where they eventually built The Center for Compassionate Creativity with their partner Kelly Orr and long-time collaborator Jerry Levy. Most recently, Kāli played the Porter and one of the witches in an all-female/non-binary Macbeth at Scoundrel & Scamp in Tucson and trained with Zuzi Dance Company. Kāli holds an MFA in Ensemble-Based Physical Theater from Dell’Arte, and is grateful to be based in WNY once again. kaliquinn.com
