Jeremy Tjhung

Jeremy Tjhung is an artist, activist, master of craftwork, and all-round creative force.  Jeremy grew up in the Rochester-Buffalo area before moving to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  As a creative director for Victoria’s Secret for many years, Jeremy planned and executed numerous campaigns, traveling the world for creative and visual inspiration.  He returned to Rochester to work full-time as an activist for common sense gun reform, voting rights, and for gender recognition and equity, work that was recognized both by the New York State legislature, and by Monroe County.  Jeremy died in July 2021 of lymphoma.  The production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch is dedicated to his memory and the ongoing inspiration he provided to so many in this community.
