David Henderson

David Henderson is the Artistic Director of METHOD MACHINE, for whom he has produced and directed more than 25 productions including Spoon River Rochester, a site-specific performance using hundreds of performers in an immersive, one of a kind experience at the 2014 Rochester Fringe. Productions include ShakesBLOOD, Angels inAmerica (Parts I & II), Edge, The Lipstick Massacre and more than twenty other productions and events; curated five exhibits in The Method Lab, including "A Tibetan Pilgrimage", "Bushwacked!" and "Famous Faces."

Additional productions include work at Geva Theatre Center, JCC Center Stage of Rochester, and Screen Plays. This fall, David adapted and directed two Kurt Vonnegut short stories for a site specific performance with the Nazareth College Theatre Department.

As a writer, plays include include Pyotr & Bob, ShakesBLOOD and The Gay Fiancee. Two recent commissions include a children's play for Monroe Community College to premiere this June and an original choral musical for the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus to be produced in 2016. David graduated from Nazareth College with a BA in Theatre and Goddard College with an MFA in Screenwriting and Playwriting.

David is a founding Board Member of the Rochester Fringe Festival.
