Sample Course Schedules

The following schedules illustrate of how a student might complete the major. Please note that these sample course schedules are only examples as actual courses are not always offered in the semesters indicated in the suggested schedules below.

Many students elect to take additional economics and mathematics courses for their free electives, but free electives can be used to take any course of a student's choosing.

With the exception of prerequisites and the sequencing of the courses - ECO 108 before ECO 207, ECO 230 before ECO 231, taking calculus early, a student is free to take the courses when they work best for them.

The examples below assume the two semester calculus sequence. Students taking the 141, 142, 143 sequence would have to add an additional calculus course. Some students will enter economics after their freshman year. This is not a problem as long as there is sufficient time to sequence the courses as explained above.
