Mark Perlberg

Mr. Perlberg has been the President and CEO of Oasis Outsourcing since October 2003. Throughout his career, Mr. Perlberg has demonstrated outstanding leadership and sales strategy development across a wide array of industries, including business services, utilities and financial institutions. After beginning his career as a business litigation attorney, Mr. Perlberg co-founded and was a key architect in growing a utility bill payment processing business and negotiating its sale to Western Union, where he spent six years in management roles with rapidly expanding responsibilities. Mr. Perlberg later spent four years as an officer of the John Harland Company. Prior to joining Oasis Outsourcing, Mr. Perlberg was the Chief Operating Officer of PRG-Schultz, the world’s leading recovery audit firm. At PRG-Schultz, Mr. Perlberg planned and successfully implemented key growth strategies, including creating and leading an integrated sales, operations, IT and client service platform. Mr. Perlberg is a magna cum laude graduate of both the University of Rochester, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and Boston College Law School, where he was named a member of Order of the Coif (top 10%).
Mark C. Perlberg has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oasis Outsourcing since 2003. Under his leadership, Oasis grew from an almost exclusively Florida-based, smaller company, to the largest Professional Employer Organization in the country, with 8,400 clients, and worksite employees in all fifty states.
In December of last year, Oasis was purchased by Rochester based Paychex for $1.2B, and Mark now serves as a Paychex Vice President. Mark also serves on the board of Cross Country Healthcare (NASDAQ; “CCRN”).
Mark (Class of ’78) and wife Diane (Class of ’77) met as teenagers at the University of Rochester and this year will celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary. They have three children and three grandchildren.
Although Mark’s degree was in History, while at the University of Rochester he spent virtually all of his time doing theatre. He served as Chairman of COPA for 2 ½ years. He directed many productions, including two Parents Weekend musicals. His play Iceland Double was produced for a John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts competition (and Diane appeared in that play)!
Although Mark went in a legal, and then business direction, he has stayed actively involved in theatre. He served on the New Jersey Council for the Arts. He was a member of Altanta’s Alliance Theatre Board for 8 years. He currently serves on the Boards of Palm Beach Dramaworks (where he has prepared and presented nearly a dozen programs himself) and the Playwright Center of Minneapolis.
