Rebecca Weiss is a creative producer and dramaturg with a focus on new play development. As the Artistic Director of Spicy Witch Productions, now in its seventh season, she oversees the artistic operations of a non-profit repertory company and spearheads the SWP Writer-in-Residence program, which has produced four world premiere plays by emerging female playwrights. As Literary Associate at Barrington Stage Company, she developed new plays and musicals, produced the annual 10x10 new play festival, and served as dramaturg on the world premiere of Lloyd Suh's The Chinese Lady, as well as on new plays including Bekah Brunstetter's The Cake, Lucas Hnath's A Doll's House, Part 2, and more. Currently the Associate Producer of Performing Arts Programs at Symphony Space, she programs and produces theater and music for an multi-disciplinary arts venue. She has worked as a script reader and consultant for The Playwright's Center, Playwright's Realm, Clubbed Thumb, Ars Nova, and more.
