Systems Neuroscientist, Open Rank, University of Rochester
The Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Rochester is seeking to hire a faculty member in the area of systems neuroscience at either the Assistant (tenure-track), Associate, or Full Professor level. We are primarily interested in candidates who employ experimental approaches to address fundamental questions regarding the neural basis of behavior. Specific areas of interest include sensory neural coding, motor control, decision-making, plasticity, learning and memory. Candidates working in both primate and non-primate model systems are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collegial department whose focus is the study of learning and development, perception, motor control and cognition through combined neurobiological, computational, and behavioral research; she or he will also be part of a university–wide neuroscience community engaged in graduate and undergraduate education.
