Biography

Christopher VerSchneider is a Rochester native and 2010 graduate of SUNY Oswego having received a BA in Technical Theatre with a concentration in lighting design and technology.  Chris has worked with Rochester City Ballet, Mercury Opera of Rochester, Eastman Opera, CMI AV, and is a regular over hire with IATSE Local 25 stagehands union.  Most recently, Chris had been the technical director for Brighton High School overseeing technical elements for all district plays, musicals, concerts, and other special events.  During his time at Brighton, Chris acted as the district representative for the complete rebuild and design of the high school theatre, including a full LED lighting package, state of the art sound system, acoustics, seating and stage rigging updates.  Chris currently resides in Victor NY with his wife Megan and son Benjamin.  He is excited to be a part of the University of Rochester team overseeing the new Sloan Performing Arts Center.
