Merger Announcement

Effective January 1, 2026, the Susan B. Anthony Center has merged with the Susan B. Anthony Institute (SBAI).

This integration brings together two units with a shared and deeply complementary mission of advancing equal opportunity and leadership in the spirit of Susan B. Anthony’s enduring legacy.

Through SBAI, the Center’s long-standing commitment to community engagement and advocacy will continue, alongside expanded opportunities for research and student involvement.

Cornerstone Center programs, including International Women’s Day and other collaborative initiatives, will continue through SBAI and the University’s Offices of Engagement and Enrichment or Community Partnerships. Moving forward, the Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement Award, Emerging Leader Award, and Community Champion Award will all be managed by SBAI.

Student scholarships, including the Susan B. Anthony Scholarship, the Fannie Bigelow Prize, and the Jane R. Plitt Award will continue. The scholarship has now been transferred to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

We are deeply grateful to the faculty, staff, students, and community partners whose dedication sustained the Susan B. Anthony Center for more than thirty years and laid the foundation for this next chapter.
