Support Us

Financial support from alumni and community members has made the growth and sustainability of Rochester’s carillon program possible. Recent donor-funded projects have included a significant renovation of the carillon itself, refurbishment of the 1973 practice keyboard in Spurrier Hall, and the installation of livestreaming equipment. All of these improvements help us to better fulfill the ethic of Meliora on campus as we aim to play a variety of music that’s engaging to all community members, inspiring a sense of inclusion and belonging at the University.

Your support with allow us to continue the growth of the carillon program by completing the sheet music library, increasing the frequency of guest residencies, and supporting student field trips to other carillons in New York and beyond.

Giving

Tax-deductible gifts may be made to either of two carillon funds.

The Hopeman Carillon Fund supports many facets of the carillon program including instrument maintenance, guest residencies, student activities, and the summer concert series.

The Charlie and Judy Zettek Carillon Fund primarily supports the annual Rochester Carillon Composition Award, which has engaged the University community in expanding the carillon repertoire since 2018.

Gifts may be made online or by mail. To donate specifically to the carillon program, select a gift designation of “other,” then write the name of one of the above funds. Contact Ashley Smith of University Advancement with any questions. Your support is greatly appreciated!
