A young widow, Marlina, violently turns the tables on her would-be attackers, in this powerful, provocative, and visually stunning Indonesian take on the "feminist western" genre. After taking the head of one of those who wished to steal from her, Marlina embarks on a journey of redemption and empowerment, but the ghost of one of the men she kills returns to haunt her. Followed by a panel discussion.
