We are thrilled to announce that our first-year Ph.D. student, Molly Maenner, has been selected for a highly competitive research school in Bayrischzell, Germany, focused on advanced cryo-seismology. This workshop perfectly aligns with Molly’s interdisciplinary research, which sits at the intersection of the Olugboji Earth Imaging Lab and Dr. Glade’s Particles and Ice Lab. The program covers specialized topics like icequakes, source inversion, and glacial interferometry. Crucially, Molly will receive practical training in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS)—a cutting-edge technique revolutionizing how we monitor glacial environments. We are excited for her to bring this new expertise back to Rochester. Congratulations, Molly!
