Short Biography

Dr. Tolulope Olugboji is an assistant professor of Earth and environmental sciences, with joint appointments in electrical and computer engineering and the Goergen Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. He leads the Olugboji Planetary Imaging and Earth Hazards Lab (URseismo), where his group combines recordings from ocean-bottom sensors and global seismic networks with high-performance computing and artificial intelligence to image Earth’s interior and understand planetary structure and dynamics. His program is sustained by federal research funding, including an NSF CAREER Award, and has built a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and a steady pipeline of graduate and undergraduate researchers. He teaches courses on natural hazards, Earth science data analysis, and planetary seismoacoustics. Olugboji is an associate editor of Surveys in Geophysics.
