Graduate Program
Graduate Committee
The Graduate Advising and Curriculum Committee is the principal point of contact for most first- and second-year graduate students. Committee members can help students with things like:
- Coursework and schedules
- Research opportunities
- Choosing a field for their PhD thesis
The committee eventually passes most of these responsibilities on to each student's research advisor, but continues to monitor each student's progress, with the help of the student's research advisor and dissertation advisory committee.
The current Graduate Advising and Curriculum Committee members are:
- Professor Segev BenZvi (2015 cohort advisor)
- Professor Eric Blackman (2013 cohort advisor)
- Professor Gourab Ghoshal (2017 cohort advisor)
- Professor Pierre Gourdain (2016 cohort advisor)
- Professor Andrew Jordan (curriculum development)
- Professor Kevin McFarland (2014 cohort advisor)
- Professor Patrick Oakes (curriculum advisor)
- Professor Lynne Orr (Director of Graduate Studies and 2015 cohort advisor)
- Professor Pierre Gourdain (2016 cohort advisor)
- Professor Sarada Rajeev (curriculum development)
- Laura Blumkin (ex officio, graduate program coordinator)
