Qualifying exam: Pass exam in area of dissertation research (one retake allowed)

Third Year

Register for ECO 493: Master's Essay and for selected workshop(s)

Throughout Year
TA for fall/spring
Research and write the third-year paper
Last working day of May
Submit third-year paper signed by your advisor

Fourth Year

Fall
Register for remaining workshops to complete 90 credit hours
Submit Dissertation Prospectus—September 15 deadline

Fall/Spring
Register for ECO 997: Doctoral Dissertation (include advisor's name)
Optional: TA for fall/spring
