The Undergraduate Business Program at the University of Rochester is a vibrant, tight-knit community of educators, staff, thinkers, and learners. The program equips the next generation of entrepreneurial and innovative minds with the analytical tools needed for success. Through rigorous academics, extracurricular opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences developed by the same faculty who teach our MBA and MS programs, students build a foundation based on the principles of quantitative and applied economics—preparing them for the business world of tomorrow.

The program offers two options for business degrees:

Bachelor of Arts in Business
If you choose to pursue a BA degree in business, you must also choose a second major. This is a great option for students who have a strong interest in exploring business alongside another academic discipline to complement and intertwine the two fields.

Bachelor of Science in Business
The BS degree in business requires four more courses and to select a specialized track. This is the best option for you if you’re interested in studying a business discipline in greater depth.

STEM Designation

The BA and BS (all six tracks) in business are STEM-designated degree programs. International students in the United States on F-1 visas are eligible to work for three years in the US and gain valuable experience in the workplace.
