Steve Manly to Receive 2007 American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching

Dr. Steve Manly, Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Rochester, has been selected to receive the 2007 American Association for Physics Teachers (AAPT) Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.

his award is given in recognition of contributions to undergraduate physics teaching.

The recipient, an AAPT member for whom undergraduate teaching is a primary responsibility, is invited to make a presentation at an AAPT Summer Meeting. The recipient receives a $3,000 monetary award, travel expenses to the meeting, and an Award Certificate.

The award is to be presented in the AAPT meeting in summer 2007 (To be held July 28-August 1, 2007 Joseph S. Koury Center & University of North Carolina (UNCG) http://www.aapt.org/Events/SM2007/index.cfm).
