Dance Major passes University of Rochester’s Curriculum Committee, Steering Committee and Faculty Senate!

A new Dance Major, focused on creative expression and performance, and a second dance major with a concentration in Dance Studies that allows students to connect their interests and study in any other discipline to dance and movement, has been approved during the spring 2016 semester by the University of Rochester’s Curriculum Committee, Steering Committee and Faculty Senate.

It will go to New York State for approval as a next step and the Program of Dance and Movement hopes that students will have the opportunity to graduate with the first Dance Major in the history of the UR by May 2017!
