Skalny Teaching Grant
About the Program
Pursuant to an Agreement between the Jagiellonian University and the University of Rochester, the Director of the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies is pleased to announce a one-semester teaching fellowship at the University of Rochester, available for both the fall and spring 2027 semesters. Applications will be considered in all fields of the humanities and social sciences.
The recipient of the grant will teach one course (4 credits) in the Skalny Center for Polish and Central European Studies, which will be listed with one of the departments in the social sciences or the humanities, and will be expected to give a public lecture to the University community and the local Polish-American community.
Eligibility
Applicants must be current faculty members at the Jagiellonian University and must be officially nominated by the Jagiellonian University Center for International Cooperation (CWM) prior to applying. Only candidates who have received an official nomination from CWM are eligible to submit an application through Interfolio.
Grant Details
Fall 2027
Stipend: $20,000.00
Duration: Fall 2027 semester
Housing: The visiting fellow will be provided with an independent apartment (Maisonette 210) located on the University of Rochester campus. The apartment includes a kitchen, bathroom, hall, living room, two bedrooms, and TV.
