Inga
Poland, 2025, 28 minutes, Documentary
Directed and written by: Krzysztof Kopczynski
Description
On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. On that same day, Inga, from a village near Kyiv, turned five. The film is a portrait of her family, who fled to Warsaw with their pets and made a new home there, on a street named after the mythical Daedalus, who escaped the labyrinth on wings of wax. Inga loves blowing out birthday candles because then she can make a wish. Her parents are blind, and Inga often guides them, but she cannot go with her father when he returns to Ukraine.
