Justin Dwyer is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion and Classics. He earned a PhD in Classics through the Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies at the University of British Columbia in 2021 and previously taught at the University of Victoria before coming to Rochester in 2023. His research focuses on Greek drama and its reception in Rome, which he explores at the intersection of literary analysis and material culture. He is currently developing his dissertation, “Apollodorus of Carystus and the Tradition of New Comedy,” for publication as a monograph.
