Project 2: Design & Prospects of a 200-MW wind farm in NW NY

Deadline Nov. 26, 2025 

Dowload Project 2 file (pdf).
Assess last year's data base for surface wind patterns in upstate New York, Ontario Lake onshore, for the installation of a large wind farm equipped with mid-size turbines of a given nominal power output. Good source: Rochester International Airport readings.
Estimate the actual power output for the observed wind patterns and the need for additional baseload power. Estimate the space and infrastructure needed for the farm.
