Travel to the University of Rochester
Travel by Air
Rochester’s airport (ROC) hosts most major airlines. Cab service is available from the airport to your hotel or dorm. Cab fares are usually between $10-$17, depending on your destination. Staybridge Suites and the Riverview dorms are close to the airport. Strathallan Hotel is a bit farther, in the Park/East neighborhood of Rochester.
Staybridge Suites offers shuttle service to/from the airport.

If you will be renting a car at the airport, the following provide directions to your destination:
Driving to the University of Rochester Campus from the Airport
On exiting the airport, take a right onto Brooks Ave, and then almost immediately thereafter, take a right onto I-390S. Take I-390S to Exit 17 - Scottsville Rd. Turn left onto Scottsvile Rd, then bear right onto Elmwood Ave. Right after the river, take a left onto Wilson Blvd.

Driving to Staybridge Suites and Riverview Apartments from the Airport
On exiting the airport, take a right onto Brooks Ave. After 1.5 miles, turn right onto Genesee St. The hotel is on the left.
Driving to Strathallan Hotel from the Airport
On exiting the airport, take a right onto Brooks Ave,and take I-390 N. Take exit 20A to I-490 E. Take exit 17 at Goodman Street. Turn left on S Goodman and after 0.9 miles take a left on East Ave. The hotel is on the right.
Driving directions to Rochester and to the University of Rochester Campus
- From the East: NYS Thruway I-90 to Exit 46, onto I-390 N, then follow directions for “From the South” below.
- From the South: I-390 N to Exit 16 (E. Henrietta Rd and W. Henrietta Rd). At Exit 16, continue on the exit ramp straight across E. Henrietta Rd onto E. River Rd. At the second traffic light take a right onto Kendrick Rd. At the end of Kendrick Rd. bear left at traffic light onto Lattimore Rd. At the second traffic light, bear left onto Elmwood Ave. Go under the sign that says "University of Rochester" and take the first right onto Wilson Blvd (If you cross the River, you have gone too far) On Wilson Blvd, proceed to the Information Booth for token and parking directions.
- From the West: NYS Thruway I-90 to Exit 47, onto I-490 E. Take I-490 E to I- 390 S. Take I-390 S to Exit 17 (Scottsville Rd). Turn left onto Scotssvile Rd, then bear right onto Elmwood Ave. Right after the river, take a left onto Wilson Blvd. Proceed to the Information Booth for token and parking directions.
