Guillaume Chastel is deaf and grew up in France. He received his Master’s degree in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University. He started working in the ASL Program at the University of Rochester in 2008. He teaches many different courses including Advanced ASL, History and Culture of the American Deaf Community, French Sign Language (LSF), and Narrative and Poetic Styles in ASL. In addition, he also teaches a course called Teaching ASL as a Second Language, which focuses on the instruction of different subjects in ASL.
