How long you’ve been with the department? I worked in the department as an office assistant from 2017-2020, and I started full-time in 2021.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done? I don't know if I've ever done anything particularly cool, but I did once make a three-foot-tall croquembouche (a tower of cream puffs held together by hardened caramel) from scratch!
If you could witness any historical event, which one would you want to see and why? I would love to see the Library of Alexandria in its prime (but I'd skip the fire that destroyed it).
What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to read, and I'm slowly but surely writing a novel of my own. I also love to cook and bake (catch me forcing homemade desserts on everyone in the department), and when the weather is nice, I enjoy taking long walks with my dog, Moose.
Where would you go on your dream vacation? I would absolutely love to go to Japan someday!
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in the last five years? Run your own race! You're not competing against anyone but yourself; even if it looks like someone is ahead of you, they're running on an entirely different course.
