Adjunct Assistant Professor (or Lecturer)
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Rochester invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor (or Lecturer) for the 2020-2021 academic school year.The successful candidate will be expected to teach Introduction to Earth Sciences, and Sedimentology and Stratigraphy. Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae, contact information for 3 references, and a brief teaching statement. The teaching statement should include an overview of all relevant teaching experience and a strategy for leading and organizing the laboratory sections (including occasional field trips) for the above courses.Applicants should also comment on their experience with online instruction, as well as a possible scenario that would involve a combination of online and in-person teaching. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. in geosciences, or applicants who plan to defend before the end of summer.
