{"id":6422,"date":"2021-09-07T12:23:13","date_gmt":"2021-09-07T12:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/chm\/groups\/kennedy\/?page_id=6422"},"modified":"2021-11-05T18:21:56","modified_gmt":"2021-11-05T18:21:56","slug":"fall-2021","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sas.rochester.edu\/chm\/groups\/kennedy\/fall-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Fall 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the key priorities to emerge from the department\u2019s 2021 DEI <em>Days of Action<\/em> was the need to sustain department-wide discussion of how multifaceted topics of <em>diversity<\/em>, <em>equity<\/em>, and <em>inclusion<\/em> relate to our department, the chemistry field, STEM disciplines, and society. Toward this goal, the DEI-O Committee is sustaining a continuing series of monthly DEI Forums. These forums will involve <b>interactive, guided discussions<\/b> based on <b>articles, films, podcasts, or other media shared in the 1\u20132 weeks prior to each forum<\/b>.\u00a0These forums are <strong>open to all<\/strong> in our department community\u2013<strong>including undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, staff, and faculty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the spirit of <em>Meliora<\/em>, we hope that these forums will help to center DEI in our ongoing departmental conversations, growth, and pursuit of excellence.
