The 2021 #URSTEMrecharge<\/strong> will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021\u00a0<\/strong>as a series of virtual sessions hosted via Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in any and all sessions as a launching point for continued discussion and action within and across individual departments.<\/p>\n

#URSTEMrecharge<\/strong> emerges after the 2020 call from the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for academic scientific communities to #shutdownSTEM on June 10, 2020. Building on the spirit of this important national movement, Arts Sciences and Engineering (AS&E) at the University of Rochester is planning a day of self-examination and self-reflection. Taking a collective pause from \u201cbusiness as usual\u201d, this event focuses on diversity and improving inclusive research practices in STEM at the University of Rochester.<\/p>\n

*Note: Participation is not limited to the STEM-community; UR social scientists, humanists, faculty, students, and staff are all welcomed!<\/p>\n
