Emma Deane

Emma Deane is an Indigenous lighting designer based out of NYC and citizen of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara nation. Her recent credits include In the Southern Breeze (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater), Manahatta (Yale Repertory Theater) and Jeremy O. Harris's YELL: A "DOCUMENTARY" OF MY TIME HERE (Yale School of Drama).  Other credits include Tiny Beautiful Things (TheatreSquared); Dreaming Zenzile (Assoc. LD, St. Louis Rep); ReykjavíkTrouble in Mind, shakespeare’s as u like it and Romeo and Juliet (Yale School of Drama); Little Boy/Little Man, Burn BookThe Light FantasticThis Sweet Affliction, Mud, The GuadalupesWOLF/ALICE, Camille: A Tearjerker (Yale Cabaret).  Regional credits include work with Court Theatre, The Goodman, Albany Park Theater Project, Steppenwolf Theater Company, Northlight Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Victory Gardens, Shakespeare Academy at Stratford, The House Theater, Filament Theatre, Interrobang Theatre Project, Akvavit Theatre, Wildclaw, North Park University and The Gannon Center for Women and Leadership. She holds a MFA from Yale School of Drama.
