PhD, Harvard, 2012; JD, Stanford, 2004. Law, judicial politics, race and ethnic politics, public law, political methodology, causal inference. Current research explores the relationship between race and ethnicity and judicial decision making in the federal courts. In June of 2010, she and Jennifer Hochschild (Harvard) were awarded a grant by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to study the relationship between genetics, race, and public policy. Professor Sen is also an affiliate of the Frederick Douglass Institute for African and African-American Studies. Teaches courses on law, judicial politics, race, and ethnicity.
