The department has two conference rooms, equipped with video conferencing equipment to allow faculty and students to participate in seminars, courses, and group meetings held in coordination with various national laboratories. Our hardware is a room-based system operating over IP. We are able to both originate and receive video calls using H.323 standard. The conference rooms are in Bausch and Lomb Hall and can comfortably accommodate ten people.
The rooms are available for use by the general University of Rochester community only. Users of this service will be charged a $25 setup fee which covers technical and clerical assistance in scheduling the room as well as system configuration. The user will be charged a system usage fee of $100 per hour. Minimum conference time is one hour with hourly charges beyond this minimum being rounded to the next half hour.
