Lizzie Borden in discussion with Douglas Crimp

Filmmaker Lizzie Borden and Douglas Crimp, Fanny Knapp Allen Professor of Art and Art History and Professor of Visual and Cultural Studies at the University of Rochester will hold a conversation about New York City and its underground culture in the 1970s and 1980s. Together they will talk about Lizzie Borden's connection with the art world, her first steps as a filmmaker, and the different spaces in the city where they both developed their work. Coffee and cookies will be served. This is an open public event but there are limited seats which will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The on campus visit of Lizzie Borden is sponsored by Art and Art History Department, the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies, Department of Modern Languages and Cultures and, Film and Media Studies Program.
