The R-CHIV (Rochester Cultural Heritage Imaging and Visualization) Working Group is a collaboration primarily between faculty and students at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Our mission is several fold: (1) to develop new technologies in imaging science, computer vision, forensic codicology and palaeography; (2) to serve as an expert consulting resource for projects of cultural heritage recovery; (3) to educate students, researchers and the public in the emerging discipline of Textual Science.
