Domestic violence has been identified as a public health concern, and it affects people of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Tasneem Ismailji, Co-founder and Board Chair of the Academy on Violence and Abuse (AVA), will present the keynote, Intimate Partner Violence: An Update for Healthcare Professionals, to discuss health perspectives as well as interventions. After the luncheon, a panel will respond to the keynote given by Dr. Ismailji by sharing what is happening at a local and national level to help victims.
