Conference

Thursday, February 15, 2018
8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Humanities Center, Conference Room D, Rush Rhees Library

Join us to celebrate Susan B. Anthony's Birthday during our annual Undergraduate Research Conference! The schedule is full of fantastic student research on Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies.

Our 2018 keynote speaker is is Margarita Simon Guillory, Assistant Professor of Religion at the department of Religion and Classics. Guillory will discuss her recently published book Spiritual and Social Transformation in African American Spiritual Churches: More Than Conjurers. Drawing on archival material and ethnographic fieldwork with African American Spiritual Churches in the USA, this book examines how their spiritual and social work can shed light on the interplay between corporate activism and individual spirituality.
