Field Trips

Sedimentary Structures field trip:
Sunday, Mar 30. We will go to Letchworth Gorge and further south.
Leave Hutchison         7:30 a.m., Sunday
   Return                        ~6:00 p.m., Sunday

Rochester Gorge field trip:
In lab during the week of March 31–April 4. We will go to the Lower Falls in Rochester Gorge.
   Leave Hutchison      start of Lab
   Return                       end of Lab

Please mark your calendars now.  All scheduled field trips are mandatory.  The data you collect during these field trips will be the basis of written reports that make up part of your grade in this class.  If you have scheduling conflicts with a required field trip, please let us know now.

Bring with you:
1. Your lab notebook and writing utensils
2. Clothing appropriate to the weather and the trip. We suggest throwing a rain jacket in your backpack just in case (and don't wear clothes that you are afraid to get dirty--this one should be a no-brainer).
3. Functional shoes or boots
4. Water and a snack
5. For the Catskills field trip, you will need overnight gear--we will discuss this in class as the date approaches.
