David L. Ennist, PhD, MBA is CSO at Origent Data Sciences, Inc., a Washington DC based health analytics company will be speaking about "Development of Machine Learning Applications to Increase the Efficiency of Clinical Trials."

David L. Ennist, PhD, MBA is CSO at Origent Data Sciences, Inc., a Washington DC based health analytics company. Origent Data Sciences is focused on commercializing disease progression algorithms that provide predictive intelligence for drug development. The company uses machine learning to develop disease progression models then develop drug development applications for use by pharma and biotech companies. 

Dr. Ennist is a biomedical scientist and business leader with broad experience in the biotech and pharma industry.  He has published over 25 scientific articles in journals including Blood, PNAS, Journal of Immunology and Clinical Cancer Research.  Dave’s expertise encompasses drug development, molecular biology, immunology, oncology, gene therapy, data analytics and research management.

Dr. Ennist is formerly a Scientific Expert and Program Team Head for Novartis and Genetic Therapy, Inc., and Principal at DLE Consulting, where he consulted on drug development products from preclinical through phase 4 stages.

Dr. Ennist holds a BA in biochemistry from the University of Rochester, an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and a PhD from Ohio State University.  He was a Staff Fellow and National Academy of Sciences Research Associate at the National Institutes of Health.
