Michelle Gipner is from Rochester, NY. She has a BA in Dance from Hobart and William Smith Colleges (1998) and an MFA in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2004). She has trained and performed with many artists in the Boulder and Denver, CO areas as well as in Rochester, NY including with Present Tense Dance (Rochester, NY), One Big Yes Productions, and Skeleton Dance Project (Boulder, CO). She has taught dance for Metropolitan State University in Denver, University of Colorado at Boulder, and is currently part of the faculty at the University of Rochester in the Department of Dance and Movement. She has also taught for several studios and training schools in the Rochester, NY and Boulder/Denver, CO areas.
Michelle began yoga training in Denver, CO, where she completed her first teacher training in 2004.
She has continued her studies at YogaWorks and Katonah Yoga at the Studio in New York, and with many of the expert teachers in the Rochester yoga community. She currently holds an E-RYT 200 certification through yoga alliance and teaches at Charisma Yoga Bar, the East Side Wellness Center, and Fairport Wellness Center, in addition to on-site corporate wellness yoga in a variety of workplace settings with Well-U and Inward Office.
